Class of 2006! [29 Jun 2006|04:01pm]
[ mood | sleepy ]

We graduated high school, bitches. Can you believe we've made it this far? We've learned so much over the years, grown into ourselves, and made so many unforgettable memories. So before I degenerate even more into sappiness, I just want to say to every one of my friends, acquaintances, even the people I've only shared glances with: you made my experience what it was. Honestly, to my friends, I love you all so much and you made high school that much better. Hopefully, I'll have regular contact with most of you, and although some of us are bound to drift away, please keep in touch, and hopefully, in another 5+ years or so, I won't feel awkward to talk to you if I ever run into you again (See former elementary school friends).

On Exam Review, we went and got all our marks, and I'm pretty happy with them, and I'm so glad my Bio mark didn't drop any further. Me, Vin + XC went out for lunch at this Japanese place that was really amazing. Vin drove us back to school to pick up Mel + Lynn to drop them at home, but we ended up parked in front of Mel's house talking for like, 20+ minutes. Vin IDLED *horror*.

Commencement was alright, apart from being ass numbingly boring most of the time. Luckily, me and XC were seated next to each other, so we managed to entertain ourselves a bit. The two of us were the last graduates in the grade to get our diplomas, because we're cool like that. I'm happy I got the English award (UHS Yearbook...Endowment? Or something like that) partly because I get moolah! Yay shopping spree - er, university funds. Congrats to everyone else for awards, for graduating, for making it through UHS! My grandma and uncle came as well, and gave me flowers :) poor Grandma, it was boring enough for me; she doesn't even speak English.

The Renaissance Parque was very pretty, and there was SUCH a huge crowd for the reception; we were some of the last people to leave because the parking lot was completely congested. We took 23198747 pictures, filmed stuff, and overall acted like goofs as usual. I didn't see so many people that I would have liked to. It's kinda sad to think that many of those people we saw yesterday, we'll never see again.

Anyway, after, some of us went to Lynnie's to sleep over, and we watched Casanova + White Chicks, and damn it, I enjoyed both. And now, I'm ridiculously tired. For the last time (I promise) I love all my UHS buddies, and we must hang out in the summer and for sure keep in touch when we all go off in September to start changing the world and all that, right?

Whoosh [04 Apr 2006|04:46pm]
[ mood | tired ]

Today's been a fairly good day. It's snowing outside, and it is tres pretty. Except I want the weather to get warmer soon. It was our last day playing squash in racquets, and I'm glad, because I suck at that game and have sprained my ass 5 times. Except we're starting badminton, and the fobs are going to royally own that. I smashed a squash ball into some guy's crotch, and he doubled over in pain and yelled, "Oh my God, I won't be able to have BABIES!!" Or something to that effect. Anyway, I was laughing my ass off quite concerned.

I came home today, and I got a package from Queen's! I'm in for Bachelor of Science Honours :D I know that's nothing compared to you nerdles who've gotten like, 50 acceptances, but I'm really happy. It's weird though, cuz the cutoff for my program was 80's, but my letter says I only need a minimum final average of 75+. Unfortunately, the offers I've gotten so far all have a deadline for May 12, so I really hope I hear from U of T before then. Slow bastards.

Apparently Nine Inch Nails is playing here sometime in June. I'm inclined to go. In any case, I just really want to go to almost any concert. Care to join me?

Aaand *cue fangirlishness♥* Phantom of the Opera is coming back to T.O.! Yes, I'm the only one excited :p. I was so obsessed after seeing the movie, but I found out they were only playing it in New York. But now it's back, and it'll be playing at the Canon Theatre February/April 2007! Oh, Mirvishes ♥. (In case anyone's interested, they're also showing Monty Python's Spamalot, Legends, Pippin, Orpheus Descending, E-Dentity).

We're going to see Failure to Launch for Issues in Human Growth tomorrow. I know, it's got nothing to do with anything. Hope it's better than I think it will be.

... [05 Feb 2006|12:43am]
[ mood | cold ]

I figured it was time for a semi-proper update. Well, this horrid semester's finally over, and I made a lot of improvement, so I actually feel more secure now. Except second semester's starting in two days. That should be incredibly fun. Oh by the way, anyone have the same schedule as me? Lunch, Issues in Human Growth, Bio, English, Racquets. First lunch should be nice since I get to sleep in, but I'm not too big on missing announcements.

I saw Underworld 2 on the day of my last exam with Vin and XC, and had dinner at Montana's. The movie was rated 18A but we didn't get any trouble - yay for ticket machines! On exam review day, we sat in the stairwell and chatted for like, an hour, about towels among other things, and then hightailed it over to the mall where we tried on every dress under the sun. Also, the other day was Lynnster's shindig. It was so much fun, we watched Narnia and squeeeeed over Peter and yes, Tumnus. We also danced like maniacs to 90's music. Barb and I did a special dance lying down to the entire Aqua CD. Thanks for the 'red pockets', Lynnster!

Today, some of the fantasticals came over, and we ate lots of random junk and watched Brokeback Mountain, 40-year-old virgin, and some of Love Actually. Heath Ledger is incomprehensible with his accent. But it was so heartbreaking, and Jake Gyllenhaal is officially my new hero. We also consumed massive amounts of hot chocolate, and we were more random than 40-year-old virgin. And at Sheena's nagging, I will say, Karl from Love Actually is teh sexx. Me and B almost died - "WHY WOULD YOU SAY YOU'RE NOT BUSY??!" Anyway. All in all, it's been a great few days after exams. Thanks to everyone for helping me get through this terrible semester...I'm gonna miss lunch when we choked to death from laughing on a daily basis. See you all (hopefully) on Monday!

Oh...and whoever's having that party down the street needs to, for everyone's sake, never be allowed near a sound system ever again. STOP WITH THE TECHNO.

Harry Potter [18 Nov 2005|10:35pm]
[ mood | ecstatic ]

OmSQUEE. Sorry to subject you guys to this, because you'll probably be hearing it for a while...but Harry Potter GoF was amazing! They cut out a lot of stuff, and it went a little too fast...but overall, it was so very enjoyable. My Calc teacher decided to keep us a bit late today...so as soon as class was finished, I ran like a madwoman to find Mel, at which point we hightailed it to the car and got to the movie theatre (we saw Chalbino by the way, buying his HP ticket). So Mel decides to have the genius idea of running all the way up the stairs instead of using the escalator, and when we got to the top, we had to leap over a barricade of chairs. It was so full in the theatre, but we had seats saved for us, yay! It's great going on the first day because everyone is sooo enthusiastic, and this time, since we went at 3:30, there were no squealing kids. Bottom line, movie was GREAT. Can't stop squeeing.

After we were done, me, Mel, Vin, Liisa, Barb, XC and Sheena talked about the movie for like 234628346823 minutes in the middle of the lobby, then we went to the FMP food court to talk about the movie, among other things, for another bajliion years. Me and Barb think Barty Crouch was kinda hot, just not when he did his creepy tongue thing - that kinda kills it. And I have the utmost respect for Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort. Go Voldy. Anyway. Great movie, tons of fun...I've been building up to this day all week. Aaand...eating in the fob mall is lots of fun. Except Barb was scared of the food court people. That turd. Well, this is going nowhere, and I don't want to start spoiling the movie, so I'll stop.

P.S. We saw Nose. "Why is she named that---Ohhhhh."

Erm. [17 Oct 2005|09:02pm]
[ mood | drained ]

I really ought to be doing something other than this. For no apparent reason, I went back and looked at my public entries - some of them date so far back. One of the very first entries had Sheila saying things like, "Help me hate Billeh. I'm in mental rehab, etc." Oh, and Gordy not knowing how to spell my name. And when Lisa commented on everything with "Andy, *stroke stroke*." And me and my G1. And my Photobucket's deserted me too so none of my graphics show up. Anyway, it's been a long time, and I feel old. And sad, because our last year is zooming by. We've all changed alot since the beginning; kinda weird to think about that. I'm going to shut up now, because I will degenerate into sappiness if I keep going.

Anyway. I think no entry is complete without mentioning how calculus is a bitch (just for you Jenn. Oh, and WATERLOO). Just wondering, are the 3 info sessions on university night exactly the same? Because I originally thought you had to stick around from 7 all the way til 9:30. Anyway...Sheils skipped 4th today, and we had a er...wonderful conversation. Skip on Friday g-wad, because I'm probably going to be in the library the rest of this week.

What else? Haha, saw Lisa and Barbara drive by like, a million times when Millie and I were walking on Halstead. I love all your slow turns :p. Elementary school kids on school buses should NOT yell, "What's up homie?" at random people. No wonder all the grade nines are mental this year, they've had plenty of practice in elementary school. Speaking of mental niners, Biter Girl makes frequent appearances outside my Chem class. What else? Oh, me and Mel had a funny convo about grandmothers today..."YOU'RE GOING TO TRIP." Lunch makes me choke and die from laughing - Melba, I think we should all learn the Heimlich just in case.

Okay, I've thoroughly wasted my time. G'night!

Meep. [09 Oct 2004|01:02pm]
[ mood | happy ]

Yay! I finally got my G1! Me and XC tried to go last week but the centre was closed, so I had to wait until today. XC couldn't go though, so my parents took me to another driving test centre, and GEEZBUS. I got there around 10:40 a.m. and I didn't leave until 1 p.m. I spent like, 2 hours in line waiting, and the person who was telling me to fill out my application and stuff was mean. She didn't smile and she kept giving attitude. Yeesh. Then I did the written test and I thought I was going to fail because there were certain questions that I couldn't remember at all...but it turned out that I JUST passed the Rules Section, but I got perfect on the Signs section. Whoever told me it was really easy lied (coughSheila).

Anyway. We left, and we went to Buffet King for lunch and got completely stuffed. Then we had to go grocery shopping. I just got home, and I have to make up 4 days of not practicing piano and my stupid element ball for Chem. Then I think we're going to someone's house for dinner, so that means I have to start working now. Sob. Well, HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone. I'm thankful for all you churdtastic...churds.

I also watched Mona Lisa Smile. It was pretty good.

New Layout! [29 Jun 2004|05:29pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

Finally got this new layout up and running. I was getting tired of black and white, and I really like this layout even though the first few colour combinations I tried for the stupid scrollbar looked hideous. The base photo of the forest I got from www.skygodproject.net (off a Yahoo image search), but the rest of the angled strokes, smudging, etc. I added myself. Please comment with suggestions and crapola? Wheee. Yes, now I'm off to do some stuff before I go job-hunting tomorrow. =)

P.S. Don't steal.
P.P.S. Lynn you whorebag, your Kill Bill Vol. 1 DVD doesn't work on my player. And I'll give you back your video...soon.

New Layout! [18 Apr 2004|05:16pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

Well I haven't updated for a long time...been kinda busy the last two weeks or so. On Friday I watched The Crow for the third time (blargh, I'm up to about 6 times now) with Lis, B, and V. Lisa is retUrded - great job laughing your ass off in front of the family friend, who probably has "ideas" now. Wow, I'm so secretive with public entries.

Since I'm kinda Crow-obsessed at the moment, I changed my layout to match it. To give credit where credit is due, I got the collage from The Crow's Attic; from this page (Crow Collage #1, made by Da Jew Juan). I added the white writing myself though.

I have two essays to write, about 5 novels to read, and a whole bunch of other crap. 'Til later =)

[Edit] Veronica, I haven't spoken to you for days - are you out of mental rehab yet?

Friends Only [28 Jan 2004|04:11pm]
[ mood | happy ]

I think a lot of this journal is going to be friends only, so log in to read. I just made a friends only entry, and I think I'll be doing more of that from now on. But we'll see, I change my mind a lot, so mehh.

Yes, that is a picture from my trip to the Canadian Rockies...uploaded it a long time ago, but I didn't put it up anywhere, so it's up here now, just because I feel like showing off how beautiful the mountains were. I gloat...so sue me.

First entry ever... [30 Dec 2003|12:20pm]
[ mood | okay ]

Well, I'm finally updating, despite having had this journal for quite a while now...I'm working on fixing up the layout so that when I feel like actually updating here, I'll have a nice layout instead of a crappy one. I'm not ditching my Blurty though. I have this photo assignment to do, but I'm procrastinating...as usual. Well, I'm gonna fix up my layout...and hopefully finish my assignment. Til later!
